ILP Day 2015
Posted: June 3rd, 2015
The annual presentation of Y11 Individual Learning Profiles was Tuesday 2nd June. Every year the oldest year group of the school come together and look back upon all they have achieved in their five years at STB.
They have been adding certificates to their files since year 7 and adding documentation from the end of year 10. These documents include personal statements and a C.V., as well as challenges they may face in the future, and future aims that they aspiring to achieve.
The ceremony is a culmination of all of this and the pupils each collect their profiles as recognition of their accomplishments and that they are now finishing school.
The guest of honour was Miss Donna Bailey, a former pupil who left in 2002 and now has her PhD in American Literature. She was delighted to see so many about to embark on their next phase of life and passed on some of her own thoughts and advice for the future.
We also look back on the pupils themselves and there are always some interesting photographs highlighting how much some have changed over the years. It was, as always, another enjoyable afternoon in the company of our Y11’s and a great formal celebration before the informal Leavers meal coming up soon.
