Trip to the National Space Center
Posted: June 22nd, 2016
Y10 scientists went to the National Space Centre in Leicester on 21st June, where they participated in a workshop exploring the life cycle of a star and the structure of rockets.
In the afternoon, students attended a planetarium where they learnt all about the origins of the universe – from the small scale of atoms to the large scale of galaxies, from the big bang to the present day.
After this point, the students conducted themselves immaculately whilst exploring the space centre and also getting a live stream from British astronaut Tim Peake.
