Christmas Tree Festival
Posted: December 10th, 2016
The school is once again taking part in the Christmas Tree festival at St James’ church in Audley.
We have a tree decorated by our year 7 pupils and the year 11 Alternative Curriculum group. The theme of the tree is identity. The year 7 pupils have each made a tree decoration symbolising themselves as an individual and also as part of the school and wider community too. The Alternative curriculum group have made wooden decorations and a large wooden school badge for the top of the tree symbolising our community here in school.
The festival opened on Saturday with the trees on display and closes on 6th January. Pop along to have a look at our tree. It is near the altar – number 20.
There is a Singalong on Thursday evening 15th December in the church which will also be great fun – Christmas songs and carols, some poems and readings, mince pies cakes and drinks, and all FREE! Wear your Christmas hats and jumpers. The Singalong starts at 7.00pm but there will be craft activities for the children from 6.30.
Thank you to all who have contributed to this event.
