STB vs Chesterton

STB played Chesterton in the first of 3 district football matches. STB dominated possession from the start of the game and had a couple of good early chances. Abbie Rathbone scored a fierce shot and then scored a second shortly afterwards, with a great individual effort.

Evie Holt made a good save from a rare Chesterton attack whilst Abbi Roberts, Beth Askey (captain) and Caitlin Phillips controlled the defence throughout. Charlie Awde continued to shine in the team with a strong performance and a goal for her efforts eventually came.

Jade Thornhill and Tilly Jones both went close to adding to the score line, as well as Libby Fallows having close range efforts just go wide. Abbie Rathbone rounded up the scoring to get her hat-trick and make the final score 4-0.
