U16 Girls: STB Vs Wolstanton

STB played their second District match against Wolstanton on Thursday 11th December in freezing cold conditions. Jade Thornhill was named captain, due to the absence of Beth Askey through illness. Wolstanton dominated the early part of the game and Evie Holt was kept busy in the STB goal. Chances were few and far apart for STB, who seemed to struggle to get the ball out of defence. Charlie Awde and Abbie Rathbone made some good runs up front, but saw few opportunities to add to their recent goal scoring form. Eventually the pressure tolled and Wolstanton made the score 1-0 at half time.

In the second half, STB tried to push up more but that left Wolstanton with more chances and they scored 3 more times to make the final score 4-0. STB go into their final game in the New Year against Madeley needing to win to get at least 2nd place overall. Player of the game goes to Abbi Roberts who worked tirelessly in defence.
