County Cup Semi Final

The under 15 girls football team played in the semi -finals of the County Cup this week at Clayton High School against Kingsmead School of Cannock. The first half was a close contest with Evie Holt making some good saves in goal to keep the score 0-0 at half time.

In the first minute of the second half STB conceded a free kick just outside the area and the Kingsmead England triallist scored with a curving free kick in the top right hand corner.

They then scored a second goal shortly afterwards to make it 0-2. STB fought on and had 3 close chances in the second half that on another day would have gone in. 2 late goals by Kingsmead put the game beyond doubt but the STB players can hold their heads up high in their attitude and endeavour during the game.
