Netball Umpiring Course

10 STB pupils undertook an umpiring course, as part of their Young Netball Leaders course with Julie Tinsley, from Newcastle Netball Club. This follows on from the girls coaching sessions in primary schools and running a Year 3 and 4 Netball festival at STB.

Julie was very complimentary about the girls, saying they were a credit to the school and worked really well in the umpiring course. All the girls will now umpire at the Sainsbury’s School Games Hi 5 Netball competition at Keele University this December.
