Salvation Army Toy Appeal 2015

Posted: December 17th, 2015

Once again the school supported The Salvation Army Toy Appeal. We have been involved with this well deserving charity for 10 years now. The toys are distributed to local children who, for many different reasons, would not be receiving any presents at Christmas time.

Once again the whole school got involved. Each tutor group raised money in a variety of different ways to buy gifts. The gifts bought were for both boys and girls aged from babies to teenagers.

Mrs Dunn from The Salvation Army came to assembly to receive the gifts. She told us about the impact our gifts have on the children. She also thanked us for our continuing support of the charity. Finally, the toys were to be distributed to local families in need. Each family also receive a food parcel.

Thank you once again to the School Council for coordinating the whole school involvement.
