Fundraising for Lloyd Humphries
Posted: July 4th, 2016
Louise Davenport (mum of 9ND’s Lacey Humphries) came into school last year to ask for fundraising help, they needed to raise £10,000 for a specialist bath to be installed at home for her disabled son Lloyd Humphries. As a tutor group, we planned a number of activities to help raise money.
Our fundraising efforts in the last 12 months have totalled £475.72 – we raised the money through cake sales, a staff-student charity football match, raffling off Stoke City football tickets and other prizes donated from local businesses. This will now help towards paying the 5 year warranty on the specialist bath.
Louise came to collect the cheque on Friday; it was presented by a number of Year 9 students who were involved in the fundraising activities. Louise was thankful to the students and the school for their support.
