Message from the Principal

Posted: April 3rd, 2020

Good morning,
We hope you are all well and are managing to find the right balance of working and spending time as a family. It is such a challenge for us all and we really empathise. After two weeks, it’s fair to say that we’re all still very much in the early stages of this new way of working, so please don’t panic if you’re still grappling with it. You are not alone.
Where we do not have your email address, it would be appreciated if you could email so we can ensure that communications are being received by all parents / carers. Also, if you do not have the School Gateway app, we would encourage you to download it so that you don’t miss any of our communications.
We would like to stress the importance of having a much-deserved break over the Easter holiday – and staff have also been given the same message. This break is needed now more than ever before. So our message is this: over Easter, we are not expecting anyone to complete any work. Instead, we would like you to take the time to recharge your batteries, to do some of the things that you enjoy, to spend quality time as a family. Play some board games, go on walks (within government guidelines), and just do whatever makes you all happy.
Thank you so much once again for the support, the words of encouragement and the community spirit that you have offered during these unprecedented times. We are so fortunate to belong to such a caring community.
Please remember that although the school is closed, we are still very much here for you. If you need anything at all, please do get in touch, either directly through your House Leader, or if you email, your query will be directed appropriately.
We really do miss each and every one of you and we look forward to the day when we can open our doors again, greet you with a smile and celebrate being reunited.
Take care over the Easter holiday and please stay safe.
Thank you,
Mrs Hingley
